The Mukwinja washing station Of South Kivu works with 699 farmers in the area who cultivate in the Eastern D.R. Congo. Operated by the Virunga Coffee Company, this washing station assists the farmers with cherry processing and provides access to high-quality markets (and roasters like us). The region is very suitable to growing coffee and could be considered as productive as a “second Brazil.” The opportunities to continue to increase productivity and quality stokes much interest in the future of this coffee region.
