Papua New Guinea Jiwaka & Western Highlands

In the highlands of Papua New Guinea, the coffee industry prizes a well-preserved lineage of the arabica genes. The coffee thrives in these conditions, which are some of the most fertile on the planet! Between WW I & II, settlers would establish coffee estates, and more indigenous Papuans adopted coffee as a cash crop as well. In this lot, cherry is delivered daily by surrounding smallholders then depulped, fermented, and sun-dried before being transported for further analysis and milling.
